Diplomats Diversi-TEA will honor “Union Day” April 29,2010

The 2nd Annual Diplomats Diversi-TEA gala will celebrate Union Day, an annual
holiday observed in Tanzania, Africa and various countries throughout the world. Founder of the event, April Sutton, in association with members of Minorities in Business will hold the event Thurs. April 29, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Celebrity Centre’s Pavilion 5930 Franklin Ave., Hollywood, CA 90028. To be honored are Consul General of Belize, Mr. Roy Young and the Goodwill Ambassador of Japan, Mr. John Wilson. Other special guests include Dr. Cadrin Gill, U.S. Honorary Consul General of St. Vincent and the Grenadine Islands & the Goodwill Ambassador of Nigeria and India.
The program will include a presentation of masterpiece prints from the Norton Simon Museum to the honorees, a celebration of world cultures, gourmet teas from around the world, and will conclude with a cake cutting ceremony. International artist and performer , Carmelita Pittman a.k.a. Jameela , has been invited to perform her interpretation of Hindu Manipuri dancing which she learned as a youngster from famed dancer Bhupesh Guha of India.
