Jazz vocalist and funk legendary Sidney Barnes whose songs “I Bet You” and “(We Want) the Funk,” the latter co-written with George Clinton, has recently moved to Las Vegas from South Carolina.
One of his biggest claims to fame was fame as a lead member of a late 60’s Soul/Rock band Rotary Connection. Sidney currently appears as a singer, song writer, producer or musician on over 100 CD Compilations now on the world market, according to his MySpace biography.
Barnes’ new CD, “Setting the Mood,” is being released on his own website. Current information is available at www.myspace.com/sidneybarnes.
“I’m looking to slowly make my stake here. I’m putting together a trio and looking to entertain folks who love jazz,” said Barnes.
